Our lives are but a weaving
Made out of tender, threads of care
Each piece of someone's heart we touch
Adds to the stitching there

Each day we rise we're given
Another chance at life
We must adorn our basic quilt
With squares of strength, and light

Some darn their quilt with hatred
While others darn their quilt with care
Most forgetting that this weave of life
Can ravel, stretch, and tear

Each thread we stitch along the way
Becomes a stitch forever sewn
One we cannot change the pattern of
With those we've met, and known

It's up to you which way you weave
Your quilt of life each day
For you can make a difference
In a persons heart along the way

If we weave our quilt of life
Without taking special care
We begin to take this gift for granted
With nothing notable to share

Our lives are but a weaving
Made out of tender, threads of care
Each piece of someone's heart we touch
Adds to the stitching there.
