Matthew 17:20 "If you have faith
as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this
mountain, remove hence to yonder place; and it shall
remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you."

To have mountain-moving faith it is not enough to
simply ‘say’ unto the mountain. The word we speak must
be spoken with complete faith and assurance that what we
have spoken will be. We must have the kind of faith that
does not entertain doubt, but because the Word of God
declares it, we accept it as true. Faith is the key. And
as we really believe it, we act upon that belief.

How does one acquire the kind of faith that moves
God, the faith that pleases God? Romans 10:17 says that
faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
We ‘hear’ the Word, then when it is mixed with
understanding, the Word becomes alive to us, and faith
rises up within us to believe God for whatever His Word
says we can have. Faith comes by ‘hearing’ and an
ongoing relationship with God. Faith is the presence of
belief; in what the Word says and then acting upon that
Word. True faith that moves mountains takes what God
offers and makes it a fact in our lives.

The climate that faith grows in is rest. To have the
promises of God, we only need to have faith, mixed with
action. We can rest in the certainty that if God says
anything is possible it will be. Faith is having the
peace of God, in having a heart surrendered to God, and
only cares about pleasing Him.

Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the
substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things
not seen." In this verse, the “things hoped” mean to
expect, trust. The “substance” means assurance,
confidence. “Evidence” means conviction. In the
Spiritual realm, the ‘things not seen’ are more real
than the things seen. We are to have the assurance that
even though we do not ‘see’ with the natural eyes, we
can have the confidence that our faith will take the
things not seen and make them a reality.

Fear is the opposite of faith.
Although we could also say that fear is faith in the
devil! Our faith is attacked by fear, and they cannot
coexist, one will be stronger than the other. But if we
know God and we love God and we believe in His promises,
our faith will be stronger. 1 John 4:18 says there is no
fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because
fear has torment. It says that if we fear we have not
been made perfect in love. We must believe that God
loves us, that His plans for each of us is a future
filled with abundant life.

We can believe the promises of
God. And if we believe it, we will have faith. If you
have a need today, BELIEVE that He means it when He
says, “I will supply all your needs”, and act like it
has already happened, and thank Him for provision. If
you have an unsaved loved one, BELIEVE that He means it
when He said, ‘thou shalt be saved, and thou household.”
Thank Him for the salvation of the one being prayed for.

We as the Bride of Christ, need
to stop being fearful and start being so full of faith
that the devil trembles when he sees us coming! The
devil has no power except what we give him, because
God’s Word says He has given us all the power over the
enemy. Stop acting like puny victims, and start acting
like the victorious warriors He said we could be! Rise
up in faith and receive what God has promised, it is
yours! Faith is the key.
Let us pray this prayer:
Father, teach me how to have the
kind of faith that pleases you, that moves mountains and
never doubts. Teach me to 'hear' with teachable ears and
understand and apply what I am hearing. Teach me my
position in you and let me see with eyes of Faith. In
Jesus name I pray. Amen.
