A Few More Hours

A few more grains of sand upon the shore ~
A drop of water ~ just a drop, no more ~
But as we pass through time and space,
It does it’s share to fill and grace,
And soon the ocean meets the sandy foam.

A few more moments, passed in agony and pain,
A few exalted, lifted high in fame;
A life is done, the moments win,
And time has claimed its way again,
Moments pass to eons just the same.

A few more hours...Christ will come again!
He’ll split the sky! God will tell Him when.
And oh, the wails ~ when mercy fails ~
When only terror and war prevails!
And Christian, think! We will be gone ~ with Him!

A few more years...I think it won’t be so.
So, come my brother/sister, come and know,
That on that day when trumpets blast,
All earthly trials will be past!
And Jesus Christ, our Savior, King, ~ will take us Home!
