"Call unto me and I will
answer thee, and show thee
great and mighty things which
thou knowest not."
Jeremiah 33: 3

Many people are looking for a
word from God but look in
all the wrong places.
Our Lord gives us many promises
of His faithfulness
and instructs us in ways of
righteousness, through the
Scriptures.
He will speak to our hearts through His Holy Spirit, in
many different ways. We learn to
hear, as we talk to our Savior
in prayer, and wait upon the Lord. God also speaks
to the hearts of men, through
the words of His servants.
The good news of the Gospel
proclaimed still saves, delivers
heals, and sets souls free.

Just as in days of old, we have
a promise and know God rescues
the perishing and cares for the dying. They must first hear His
voice speak to their heart, and
believe upon Him. Our Lord
stands ready to receive
whosoever will call upon His
name,
in faith believing.
God will work all things for our
good, when we love him and
are the called according to his
purpose. ( Rom. 8: 28) The
answer to our prayers may not
always be the way we may think
they should be, but will be according to the perfect will and
wisdom of our Father, who knows best.

The writers of the Scriptures
trusted in the Lord, and it is
written how God delivered them. Many suffered persecution
and some were even put to death, for the cause of Christ. These
had a far better county and eternal rewards awaiting them.
Because they trusted in God,
they were never confounded.
Our Lord doesn't ask us to die
for Him, but to live each
day for Him. We must crucify our
flesh and walk in His Spirit,
to be victorious in our walk
with God.

May we also pray and seek God's
will, instead of our own will.
He, who promised to always be
with us and see us through, is
faithful to do all He has spoken. When we let go of our ways and seek the
Lord's, we will find joy
unspeakable and
full of glory. Our Lord supplies
all our needs, according to
his riches in glory.

The Lord's "blessed assurance"
is the best assurance this world
has to offer. May Jesus be glorified as our Savior, Lord,
and soon coming King. Keep
seeking and asking God for His
divine will and direction. He
will hear and answer, as
we call upon His blessed name.
The answers to our prayers
may not come when we expect
them, but they will always
be right on time, according to
God's
perfect will and plan. Can we
hear Him speaking?
