In memory of Dorothy Lavon Smart
Dorothy departed this life on Thursday, November 24, 2005

Dorothy was an employee of Narrow Fabrics, a division
of the Sara Lee Corporation. She attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth
 County public schools and was a member of Rock Hills Baptist Church in Belews Creek, North Carolina, where she served on the gospel choir.

Surviving are her daughters, Kimberly Smart and Laytoya Smart,
her son, Terry Smart, her mother, Dorthy Mae Smart of New Bern NC,
her father, James Smart. She is also survived by her sisters, Brenda
Smart McCormick, Pamela Smart Page, and Bonita Smart Mickens,
one brother, Allen Murray, and her fiancé, Preston Jones.

Interment was at Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery

Pall Bearers were Wayne Baker, Rodrick Green,
and friends of the family.

After Glow

I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.

I'd like to leave an afterglow

of smiles when life is done.

I'd like to leave an echo

whispering softly down the ways

Of happy times and laughing times

and bright and sunny days.

I'd like the tears of those who grieve

to dry before the sun

Of happy memories that I leave

when life is done.
