CALLED TO A HIGHER PLACE

"Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.".....Matthew 11: 28

Our Lord still calls all who are  oppressed to come unto Him
and find rest.  The Lord bids all who
are weary to come to Him and be blessed.  His yoke really
is easy and his burden light.
We find the "higher place" of the Lord when we seek a closer
walk,  and are willing to take His yoke and burden.

The "higher place" in the Lord begins with humbling
ourselves in His sight and
letting Jesus be Lord of our lives.   Our Lord  is
as close to us as the very mention of His holy name.

To be yoked to the Lord is to release our earthly cares unto the
one who will carry them and give us
his burden for souls, in exchange for our heavy burden.
It is to live in fellowship with the Lord by
obedience, through love for Him, and others.  Jesus calls
each one of us to a higher place in Him
that we will only find, as His Spirit leads the way.  God has
a garden of grace, filled with his love,
and waits to meet souls, to give them His salvation,
 blessings, and great love.

Our Savior is meek and lowly, and has a heart of compassion
for his children, as well as those who  are
wandering outside the fold of safety.  It is  his desire to
bring them into his rest.   We, who have been
brought into the shelter of his love, are each called to share
 the salvation  message with others.
We are not responsible  for making them believe the message
or receive it,  but it is only our
calling and duty to present the message, in spirit and truth.
The Holy Spirit will  convict open hearts
of the truths of the Lord.   God's word will not return void,
but will accomplish what He intends, in
His time and way.

God has a place where we can meet with Him in prayer and
it begins within our hearts.
When we let Jesus be Lord of our lives and of every part of our
heart, we can go to Him at any time
and receive help, comfort, love, and fellowship, as His child.
He will lead us in right paths
and away from dangers or oppression, that might come our way.
 He is our Good Shepherd
and our soul can trust safely in Him.  The world also calls
to souls to follow in the ways it has to offer.
The carnal minded ways of the world lead to death but to
be spiritual minded is life and peace.

One cannot live as the world on earth and expect to spend
eternity with the Lord in heaven.
We have been called out and are to be 'separate and set apart'
for God and His service.  God's
way is life eternal, with peace and rest all along the way.
Choosing Jesus is choosing life.
May we all seek the Lord, while He may be found, stay on
the right path, and let Him lead us each day.
We have One who carried the weight of the world's sins
upon his shoulders.  He can surely carry you and
I, when we may grow weary.  There is no burden too big for
the Lord or no problem which he cannot solve.

Cast your every burden upon the Lord, for he careth for you.  Remember, God's 'garden of grace' is as
close as the mention of his name.  The flowers always bloom
within God's garden and his sweet  fragrance
fills our spirit with love, as we delight in His laws.   Thanks to
our Savior for letting us abide in
his presence each new day.  We can have joy forevermore,
as we abide in Christ and seek
to be pleasing to Him.  The secret place of the Most High
God is not hard to find.  He is there
and when we seek Him, we will find Him always near.  What a
 wonderful thought to know we
can abide under the very shadow of our Almighty God!
